Prisoners of Hope is a work of fiction dealing with post-mortal like, specifically the lives of those in Spirit Prison whoa waiting with great hope for gospel ordinances to be performed so that can move on their eternal progression. The title is based on Zechariah 9:11-12.
Penny is a young girl who arrives in Spirit Prison as the story opens. There she learns of, and is converted to the gospel, meets many other spirits and learns of their mortal lives, their challenges and blessings, and their desires to be 'forever families.' The stories of these spirits help teach Penny gospel principles as well as introduce her, and the reader, to the lives of people from various times and places.
As this novel explores the joys and frustrations of the spirits trapped in Spirit Prison, it is hoped that readers will have a desire to become more actively engaged in seeking out their own ancestors and helping them attain their own eternal forever families.
