It has been a marvelous labor of love to write this book about LeAnn Clement Neuenschwander. She was a remarkable woman, wife, mother, and friend. I thank Heavenly Father each day for such a woman in my life. What I have written can barely scratch the surface of her personality, faith, courage, and commitment.

This book is really for our posterity. Some of our grandchildren will only have a fleeting memory of their grandmother; others will not have known her at all. What a shame that will be. Consequently, I wrote this little book about LeAnn so that you, our posterity, will know her and in some small way learn to understand and appreciate the greatness of the woman through whom you received life.

I assume that as you read, you will see yourself. Consider yourself fortunate if you possess some of the characteristics that distinguished LeAnn.

More than anything else LeAnn was a woman of great faith. She knew the Fountain of her faith, even Jesus Christ. Her life reflected it. At the moment of her death, I felt an unmistakable assurance that this woman, who never liked examinations, had passed the test of mortality with great distinction.
